Hunting is all about Family, Friends and the Great Outdoors.
I want to help you enjoy your time in the field by giving you tips, tricks, reviews and ideas to help make you more successful as a hunter. Then when the hunt is done I hope you share your successes with us.
BuckPole started as just a Facebook page ( buckpoleNA/) about hunting and the outdoors. We bring a feeling of sitting at the family cabin around the table sharing stories and try to bring it to social media. Some things may not pertain to hunting, but it's all in the name of fun.
Family is important to us and we try to involve our kids and family in all we do at BuckPole. Whether it be helping someone sight is a gun or crossbow, or taking the time with our kids to make some of the best deer attractants round it is all about spending time together and enjoying the Outdoors.
It is our goal to post once a month with an emphasis on posting once every 2 weeks during hunting season.

DIY 550 Paracord Hunting Dog Leash
Просмотров 1,5 тыс.3 года назад
This is how I make a 3-4' long hunting dog leash. This is more of a healing style leash. It can be made with only one clip and 550 paracord. If you would like a longer one simply start with 2 pieces of 15 or 20 foot long paracord instead.

You only angle your legs out in one direction? Curious if I missed it being a compound angle or how sturdy 8ft are if you do one angle
Can't thank you enough for that drill polishing trick 👏

I know right!

Why not use 2x4s..... cut grooves in them placing one on top and bottom. Place the " real " glass in the groove... shim the 2x4 to allow the glass to slide freely ....and allow space for the glass to slide from side to side in the groove ? No hinges no screws....just a basic sliding window. Better yet.... use two glasses. Can have an opening in the center..... or open the entire area !
That works fine. I've just had bad luck with it getting scratches that way.
Do you have plans for a 6x6 or 4x6 blind ?
I can make one. I can remember if I have one in my blind assembly videos but I can whip on up. What type of windows?
@@BuckPole nothing fancy on the windows ! thanks
I see you frame the platform out with 2x6 is it ok to use 2x4 instead?
I wouldn't recommend it for 2 reasons strength and the way I build them it would really mess the leg angle.
Looking for the video about design that you mentioned. Where might that be?
ruclips.net/video/xlYUlSEhOQs/видео.html
Hope this helps explain it in better detail.
Surely you jest. This is either a satirical attempt at reverse psychology, or this person is a complete blithering idiot.
Thank you 😊
Your welcome.
Hang in there. Don't pay any attention to the rabble rousers. Keep doing your best.
You did well. I'll subscribe and follow along. I'm finishing my gun cleaning stands with blue and black paint with oil based polyurethane. Stay focused and positive.
Can I soak the lanyard in hot water to make it not as stiff or is there a better way? Hope you see this I’m 7 years late 😂
I'd be careful doing that. I try to use softer cord to start. I'm not sure if even the best cords would dry fast enough or if it would make it less stiff. I normally just flex and bend it. I also wrap it around a bat and slide it back and forth.
Best instructional video I have seen so far on tower bases. Great Job man.
Thanks. I appreciate reading that.
Yeah well... adding 60 years of wear in an hour maybe? Its a Mosin.. it is meant to be rough.
Easy answer the weight: 270 in 130 grain acts more like a 6.5 CM than a 7 mag. Which means a lot of guys used to the 308 or other calibers switch to the 130s and get disappointed by the lack of power.
Looking forward to part 2
Got it posted: ruclips.net/video/97hpjGdWc5A/видео.html
@@BuckPole - Thanks again. Helpful tips…
Boo Hoo. Every fire arm does the stuff you point out.
😂 waaaa me
Are you going to go thru the entire blind build also ?
I have them recorded and loaded just have to get the tagging and descriptions done to help the youtube also show them to the right people.
Part 2 is now posted.
You think 94° is hot. Try Alabama with a 100% humidity. 94° feels 110°.
The Carolinas were bad I can only imagine 😔
What planet are you from
Do you think a 4x4 platform would work using this layout ?
I build a lot of 4x4 top bases.
Those of you that do not like this guys attempt to be helpful , I thank you. I came here to listen to your childish complaints.
I still want one.
sounds amezing
are these a thing of the past now that S&W destroyed Thompson?
If you don’t own a 270 you might want to shut up.
Awsome video keep up the awsome content
Old video but I'll comment anyway. The .270 was plaqued in the mid to late 80's early 90's with bad bullet design and bad lead core composition. Essentially it was like shooting a deer with military fmj ball ammunition. They were pencil holing deer due to the high velocity and extreme hard bullet composition. And many deer were lost due to no blood trail. All the major ammunition manufacturers made 130g .270 loads with the worst one being Winchester Olen. If anyone remembers the old ballistic silver tips? Had that tin cap on the bullet. Check out Jack O'Connor and his writings on the .270 and some of his hand loads he developed with excellent bullet choices. These days all the major ammo makers have the correct hardness for the velocity correct to ensure proper expansion. So in short the problem came from bullets not expanding or just simply blowing apart on impact.
For God sakes who uses Phillips screws anymore . Used torques.
Why not make a sliding window. 2 parts of plexiglass.
Sweet little device made a couple of them for myself just as this video was playing! Great instruction went surprisingly well lol
Don't know where you are from or how much you know about the 270 win i am thinking not much but anyway the 130gr is the best bullet weigh for the 270
You got me to subscribe and never put a video on how to build the walls, window cut outs, door and door installation, window installation
I use 2x6's more like a ship's stairs with blocking under each side and the screws going from the side of the 2x6 to the inside. That was due to my grandfather having his knees replaced and my father also having bad knees. Up to 4 ft high I will do normal stairs. Some of the ladders now are 20 some years old and are in perfect condition still with using rough cut on a few of them. They were set on leveled blue stone bases.
I like my windows to open out and up like awnings so if it is raining and snowing it keeps my stand dryer inside and off my rifle.
Can I make fun of this video and idea again? Fusion bonded bullets are whacking and stacking deer big times in all calibers and weights in 2023.
I have a carbon steel Encore black powder rifle and it doesnt have any rust on it maybe if you cleaned your guns better they wouldnt rust .
so why did you use 550 cord instead of 750 cord? im just curious
I had a lot of 550 on hand. 750 is nice and if you have it use it. Not sure if there is a diameter difference between the two. If not it should fit the calls well.
Thanks for the video. Very informative and helpful sir.
Black powder is super corrosive if you don't do a soap and water cleanup every time, you're going to have the exact issues your having, I have a blued encore in 209x50 never had an issue like you're having here. Have you looked down the bore? It might be too far gone to shoot again just my 2 cents be safe.
Have to be careful you don’t screw one of those tittys to the floor when ya bend over bro!!
Wow u make it complicated… why font u dig out the peanut butter a few inches into the jar pour some molasses on to the peanut butter jar then the squirrels cant get to the peanut butter but at all… doesn’t that make ur definition easier
